The Last of the Mohicans song
The Rockies, as they are familiarly known in Canada and the United States, are the symbol par excellence of nature in its wild state. At the same time they represent the invincible spirit of those explorers and settlers who came from Europe and laid the foundations of the two modern nations of the northern American continent. Legends of Passion is set in such magnificent scenery of ice and rock, of sun and impetuous north wind that rocks the clouds at will, tying them to snow-capped peaks, from which glaciers and rivers of tumultuous waters feed emerald and turquoise lakes.
Although the film opens with a war scene in which an energetic Anthony Hopkins, portraying Colonel Ludlow, fights in the wars from which the American frontier would emerge, it is, however, the words of a native Indian elder that immediately draw attention to a very young Brad Pitt in the role of Tristan Ludlow, one of the colonel’s three sons. Not only is he the favorite offspring, he is also the one who ends up becoming the young man who represents the wild spirit of the Great North.

Leyendas del otoño es una película estadounidense de 1994 de drama épico del Oeste dirigida por Edward Zwick y protagonizada por Brad Pitt, Anthony Hopkins, Aidan Quinn, Julia Ormond y Henry Thomas. Basada en la novela homónima de 1979 escrita por Jim Harrison, la película trata de tres hermanos y su padre que viven en los páramos y llanuras de Montana a principios del siglo XX y de cómo sus vidas se ven afectadas por la naturaleza, la historia, la guerra y el amor. El marco temporal de la película abarca desde principios del siglo XX, la Primera Guerra Mundial, pasando por la época de la Ley Seca, y terminando con una breve escena ambientada en 1963. La película fue nominada a tres premios de la Academia y ganó el de mejor fotografía (John Toll)[2] Tanto la película como el libro contienen ocasionalmente términos en lengua córnica, ya que los Ludlow son una familia de inmigrantes de Cornualles[3].
Harto de las traiciones del gobierno de Estados Unidos a los nativos americanos, el coronel William Ludlow abandona el ejército y se traslada a una remota zona de Montana. Junto con One Stab, un amigo cree, construye un rancho y cría a su familia. Les acompañan el jornalero y antiguo forajido Decker, la esposa cree de Decker, Pet, y su hija Isabel Dos. William tiene tres hijos: Alfred, el mayor; Tristan, el mediano; y Samuel, el pequeño.
